Casa Vega

Ray Vega headed to Las Vegas with his family in the late 70’s to start a casino distribution company. Tia Frances held down the ship while Mr. Vega was busy creating more businesses. Before he moved, he sold Casa Vega South- a restaurant across the street that accommodated catering, private events and overflow business.

A company that owned a bar called Dirty Sally’s purchased the property. Sherman Oaks went crazy. The town thought it would be a sleazy strip club or dive bar and fought the sale by picketing Casa Vega. Mr. Vega did not want to cause so much discord in the community and he canceled the sale. He wound up selling it to a bank and now is a realty office.
